Is Blogging Worth It In 2024? [Pros & Cons of Blogging]

Is Blogging Worth It?

Are you looking for this?

Then You are at the right place!

Blogging business has been an important part of the internet. According to HubSpot, the first blog was published between 1994-1997.

The main purpose of this blog was to share the thoughts and opinions of the people.

People started to use it as a business tool and it became the key to success for some.

The question still lingers: Is blogging relevant?

The online marketing industry is very competitive. There are so many blogs in the marketplace and so many marketing trends that it can almost be overwhelming.

Blogging is another popular online marketing strategy and is still one of the most effective ways to build your brand and generate more business for you.

If you’re wondering if blogging is for you, here are some pros and cons of blogging and examples of ways that you can use blogging to create a better business for yourself.

Pros of Blogging For Business

Pros of blogging

Blogging is a great way to promote yourself, your business, and even your product.

It’s also a great way to get your name out there and build a loyal following.

1. Helps To Rank Higher

Google is now giving higher rankings to blogs when compared to conventional websites.

Google has placed a high priority on blogging and is clearly giving more value to blogs.

The reason why blogging is so popular is that it is a great way to let the world know what you are thinking, create or even improve your SEO and a convenient and fast way to share content with your fans.

Blogs have now become a major source of information. People see blogs as an extension of the company.

2. Build an Audience

If you want to be successful online, it is essential to have an online audience. There are many ways of doing this.

The most obvious way is to pay for traffic. You can buy traffic in the form of pay-per-click advertising, which is a very expensive way of building your audience.

It’s also impractical because you’re always at the mercy of the algorithm and can’t guarantee the traffic will convert.

The better way to build an audience is to attract your fans for free. Blogging is the best way to beat your search engine drive traffic and build your audience.

3. Improve Communication With Target Audience

Blogging is a powerful tool to drive traffic to your website, convert visitors into leads and sales, and increase brand awareness.

While this is all well and good, it’s not just about driving traffic to your website. The real value of blogging is the network of relationships you create with your readers.

As you build your relationship with your readers, it’s important to remember that you aren’t just a company or a brand to them. You are a person. People want to know a little bit about the person behind the blog.

It’s not just about the blog post you’re sharing; it’s also about the personality you’re sharing.

The big question is, how can you develop a relationship with your readers? And what can you do to make your readers more likely to share your content?

To grow your niche, you need to develop relationships with your readers. To do this, you need to get to know them and what they want in order to give them what they want!

You need to get to know them and their interests and then share their interests with them.

You don’t need to be overbearing or pushy about it. Simply provide value to them and be a good listener!

The biggest reason why people don’t follow a page is that there isn’t a good rapport between the page and the user.

By developing a rapport, you can make sure that your relationship isn’t one-sided and that your users will help you grow your niche by sharing your blog post!

According to a survey conducted by Statista in 2020, around 77% of internet users in the United States read blogs. This indicates that the vast majority of internet users are interested in reading blog content.

Cons of Blogging

Cons of blogging

1. Takes time and effort

Blogging is a time-consuming activity. You will have to invest time and effort into coming up with blog posts that interest your target audience.

You will also have to spend hours reading other people’s blog posts, learning from their content, and improving your own.

If you want to succeed at blogging, you will have to make it a daily habit.

2. Requires skills, tools, and knowledge

Blogging takes more than just typing words into a Word document. You will need to learn about blogging software and understand how to use it.

You will also need to learn about how the Internet works. You will have to learn how to write good blog posts, and how to attract traffic.

3. May is not profitable

If you want to make money online with your blog, you will have to put a lot of time and effort into content marketing and promotion.

It’s a good idea to start a blog as part of a larger online business so that you can sell advertising space.

But as with most online businesses, only some succeed.  You need to be really good if you want to make a living at blogging.

In many cases, bloggers can not make a passive income as they target a highly competitive niche, targeting only Adsense when there are other potentials to make money blogging.

How blogging can benefit your career?

Blogging is not a new concept. The idea of blogging is nothing but sharing your views, thoughts, ideas, and experiences over the internet.

Whether you blog for your personal or professional growth, there are several benefits of blogging.

Blogging is one of the best ways to gain experience in the online world. It not only improves your writing skills but also helps you to develop the ability to work under pressure.

The first and foremost thing that you learn while blogging is how to create content.

The content should be unique and relevant to the topic. Blogging is considered to be a good platform for marketing. Bloggers are often hired by companies to represent their businesses.

It can be a great source of not only knowledge but also a source of promotion to your career.

You can blog about your own experiences, the things you have learned, or even the problems you have encountered.

It can be a great way to provide useful information to others and at the same time, you never know who might be reading.

It’s important, however, to make sure that you’re adding value to the conversation and not just talking about yourself.

This will make it much easier to build a following and also increase your brand awareness.

Is Blogging Easy? How Does Anyone without any Technical Knowledge Get Started?

Is blogging Easy to get started?

Blogging isn’t easy. I can also assure you that it’s not difficult, either. It requires hard work just like everything else in life worth having.

Don’t panic and think to yourself:  What if you don’t have any experience developing software, designing graphics, or writing?” Here are some tips:

Number 1: Find A Profitable Blogging Niche

You want to start a blog, but you lack the idea for a topic. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Many bloggers can’t decide what niche to focus on at first.

So how do you find an idea for a blog topic? You could open up a topic suggestion generator and see what comes up, but I don’t recommend this approach. That’s because the topics that come up are often pretty generic.

You don’t want to waste time blogging about topics that have already been done to death. Instead, make a list of the things you’re passionate about.

Think about everything you love to do, and care about, and what gets you going. Then start brainstorming ideas.

If you don’t come up with anything at first, try again. Don’t give up! After all, what’s the alternative?

Stuck with a boring career and living a mundane life? I don’t think so!

So don’t give up, keep trying until you find your niche. With a little dedication, you’ll be blogging away in no time!

Number 2: Choose A Perfect Domain Name

Choosing a great domain name for your blog, website or business is important. It’s the first thing that someone sees when they type in your address and it has to be memorable and easy to pronounce.

It can also be one of the most difficult things to get right, especially if you don’t know how to choose a great domain name.

There are lots of articles out there that can help you choose a great domain name, but the fact is, they’re all missing a few things.

The first is that they don’t talk about how to choose a domain name that is easy to remember.

And the second is that they don’t stress the importance of choosing a domain name that is easy to remember.

The fact is, a great domain name will stick in someone’s head. If it takes more than a few seconds for someone to spell out your domain name or if it’s hard to pronounce, it’s going to be tough for your visitors to remember.

Number 3: Choose A Secured WordPress Hosting

When it comes to choosing WordPress hosting, people tend to worry about cheap WordPress hosting services, which they can afford.

But they forget that cheap WordPress hosting comes with a price. Usually, cheap WordPress hosting services offer low-quality and less secure web hosting, which can compromise their WordPress blog.

Cheap WordPress hosting services are recommended for new bloggers who don’t have much traffic on their websites.

However bloggers who are serious about blogging must choose a WordPress hosting provider with the highest security features.

If you want to build a high-quality website, you must choose a secure WordPress hosting provider. If you are looking for my recommendation, Try Bluehost! You will get a free domain, free SSL certificate and CDN to build your profitable blog.

You can read here a detailed guide on how to start a blog with Bluehost.

Why Choose WordPress As a Blogging Platform?

WordPress is the most powerful and the best blogging platform. There are many sites and blogs online that are based on WordPress.

Some of them are very popular. WordPress is easy to use and it is free.

It has many plugins and themes that can help you to make your blog look like a professional website.

Think about it, WordPress is the most powerful, easy-to-use, and free blogging platform online.

It has many plugins that can help you to make your blog look like a professional website. What more do you need?

It can be installed directly into your account if you have a managed account.

You can think of WordPress as a home frame. You just need to add some drywall, flooring, and finishing touches.

The simplest website wouldn’t be manageable without content management systems such as WordPress.

There are several platforms available for building an effective blog, but WordPress is considered the industry standard.

It is important to pick a platform that can scale with you if you truly want to build a 6-figure business on your website. That platform is WordPress.

The platform is already familiar to many freelancers and web designers who can work with WordPress blogs.

It’s easy to find professional help if you need help building your site, or if you need to make changes in the future.

Is Starting a Blog Worth it?

Blogging Worth

The straight answer is YES! The blog is worth starting in 2024.

Nowadays every business organization should have a blog to get introduced to its target audiences.

On the other hand, there are thousands of people who are making huge money from blogging.

Adam Enfroy, Anil Agarwal, Ryan Biddulph, Istiak Rayhan, and Harsh Agarwal are some of my favourite bloggers.

I have not ranked the bloggers using the numbers. This is just a random list of bloggers who I always follow and will always be on my favourite list.

1. Adam Enfroy [Founder AdamEnfroy]: He started his blog in January 2019. But in a very short period of time, he made his blog a dollar website that is generating $200,000 every single month!

2. Anil Agarwal [Founder of BloggersPassion]: Anil Agarwal Founded his business blogging in 2010 and generates more than $10,000 every month.

3. Istiak Rayhan [Founder of RoadToBlogging]: This is the first person who motivated me to step into the blogging industry. He makes $12000 every month and acquired several websites that are generating huge revenue for him.

4. Harsh Agarwal [Founder of ShoutMeLoud]: He started his blogging journey in 2008 and his blog generates more than $30,000 every single month. He has a few other websites that are generating huge revenue for him.

5. Ryan Biddulph [Founder of BloggingFromParadise]: Ryan is my favourite he always motivates aspiring bloggers by sharing useful blogging tips.

He is living a heavenly life travelling around the world and making his living from blogging. He makes more than $1000 every month from blogging.

There are many more people who are making millions of dollars just from blogging and affiliate marketing.

You just need to follow the right mentor who will suggest to you how you should get started and how you can make your blog profitable.

All of the above-mentioned bloggers make money from Affiliate Marketing, Sponsored posts, E-Book selling, and Ads.

But these are not the only ways to make money from blogging. I know many bloggers who are making thousands of dollars from the Flipping business.

Flipping a business is the best way to generate a huge profit by buying and selling websites.

All you need to start a blog, generate some reviews, and sell the website on Flippa for up to 100x more prices.

If a website is so profitable, why flip it? Isn’t it better to keep it? Maintaining profitable sites and building a portfolio are not bad things. This is something that many people do.

There are still good reasons to sell a website. A large payout ensures money once the sale is complete.

It is true that I could make more money by keeping a site for longer than 40 months.

However, what about the expenses of maintaining a site for long periods of time? If Google updates hit the site overnight, it loses half its traffic (and revenue).

It is safer to have a 35x-40x payout.

Is Blogging still relevant?

Scaling the business is another reason. The cash flow of a site paying out $795 a month is good.

The money gained from selling that site for $38,000 all at once can be used to acquire new sites, outsource content for other sites, and begin work on multiple sites at once.

The $795 a month cash flow is nice, but it will not allow your business to scale up that quickly.

In the case of individuals who want to retire early, having cash on hand might be more valuable than receiving a monthly payout.

If you are a recent college graduate looking to wipe out your student loans once and for all.

Buying a website and reselling it allows the buyer to collect monthly payments as the site is built up for sale. It’s cash flow plus one big payout.

Here is some example of blogs that are listed for Flipping on the Flippa:

So what do you think? Is Blogging Profitable to Try?

I am sure you have got your answer! These are only a few ways! There are many more to monetize your blog and make thousands of dollars from nothing.

  1. Good points all around, Sayem.

I like your cons list because each point grounds bloggers in reality. Blogging is worth it if you know what to expect and how much you need to work before experiencing increasing success. I have blogged since 2007-2008 and began Blogging From Paradise 8 years ago. Far and away, the time I put into blogging has been about the most uncomfortable thing I have done, in certain moments. But blogging also helped to give me the freedom to circle the globe.

    Not a bad trade-off 🙂

    1. When we step into something, we should find out the barrier first. Once we can ensure that we can overcome the obstacle, we can easily find success. This is what I have tried to elaborate on here. Thanks for including your thoughts here!
